Round 2 - Battle Strategy
Only two entries were submitted this time, the contestants being Psycho Dan and EnemyofJupitor. Our strategy administrator, yakcamkir has marked the submissions and the results are as follows:
Psycho Dan: 16/20
Late Period Portugese Strategy
Writing: 6/9, Strategy: 8/9, Originality: 2/3
A relatively basic but well thought out strategy that has been tested and refined where necessary. The recommended units' strengths and uses are discussed well as are the likely counters on the part of the opponent. Good, clear screenshots were provided although the last was perhaps a little unhelpful, the general is apparently just there for show rather than having twenty units set up for fighting the battle at hand. The writing is fairly clear, a couple of points are a little confusing but overall well written.
EnemyofJupitor: 15/20
Writing: 7/9, Strategic Merit: 7/8, Originality: 1/3
A well written article, easy to follow and a good basic guide to the use of cavalry. A section on use of special cavalry such as elephants would be helpful, as would some discussion on how to protect your cavalry and how to use cavalry in a defensive situation.
